Turner captured a gang of three burglars the other night who were trying to get into Browning Brothers, by way ot the cellar. They had a hearing before Judge Preshaw and weresach held in the sum of 11,000. They were kept in the city jail pre paratory to going to the pen for safe keeping. lesterary arternoon uauor Baxter was making out their commitments !n the front office. The door of the big ceil opens into the back office, which has two windows on the east side. In some war the gang managed to turn and slide the bolt back which scoured the outside of the cell door. Thus liberated, they passed through the back office and dropped to the ground from the window, a distance oi about twelve feet. Then they ran west on Twenty-sixt- h street to the railroad yards and there the trail was lout Just how they slipped the bolt is a problem. There is a closely grated window in the door about a foot above it and it is thought they worked the bolt through this grate by a wire. II this was not the way then some pal must have slipped in and pushed the bolt and stolen out again. It was a pretty smooth piece oi business at any rate. The names given by the crooks were Frank Farrell, Thomas McOallon and E. D. Baker. Later The police recaptured two of the gang in a loft in a building in Jones' lumber yard. The third is said to have boarded a train for Park City. He may be in the pen with the others within hours. forty-eig- It ht g. rio-ht- rzzz.
