The western roads have received demands formulated by the Salt Lake Chamber of commerce at a recent meeting for the amendment of freight and passenger rates. The managers interested in the roads say the claims are in most cases unjust In respect to the passenger rates they say the rate from Chicago to Salt Lake is $52.60 first ciass, 147.50 second, and $67.50 round trip. To Helena they are $51.50 first class, $H6.50 second, and $30 round trip. To California points $75 first, $if.50 second and $100 round trip.
