Carmen Tribble 2952nd Combat Logistics Support Squadron One of the for the Air Force Assistance Fund drive, the bowling tournament, was termed a "super success" and ended March 21. The week-lonevent began March 17 and had a rippling affect from the start, when the Commander, fund-raiser- 0 O s, g Ogden Air Logistics Center, Maj. Gen. Charles McCausland, rolled the first ball, starting the tourney and mastered a spare with total ease. F rom there, the event escalated. There were 630 people who participated and helped raise $3,150 toward the Hill AFB goal. Throughout the week, teams and single competitors bowled for organizational awards and individual prizes. In the organizational awards, 2849th Air Base Group placed first, for a total of $125. Second and fourth places went to the Directorate of Maintenance for a total of $100 and the Hill AFB Hospi tal rolled into third for a total of $50. All monies will go toward each organization's AFAF goal. High individual scratch games, with $10 prizes, were rolled by SrA. Jeffrey Scott, 388th Component Repair Squadron; TSgt. Robert Laber, 1954th Radar Evaluation Squadron and Don Osterhout, Directorate of Distribution. 2849th Air Base Group had four winners for high i t u inijiinmiii scratch games, Paul Ramm, Dick McNabb, Jim Kuralt and Janet Olsen. Mike Taylor, Directorate of Maintenance, received $25 for first place high series handicap. SSgt. Bruce Breckenridge, Detachment 4, 40th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron rolled to a second place win of $20 and MSgt. Significant improvements had been achieved in base contracting in the Directorate of Contracting and Manufacturing and inspectors noted personnel were highly motivated and had achieved a very commendable level of professional competence, The directorate was recognized for pre-ancontract reviews, audit reviews, purchase request tracking, and weapons systems support on critical needed items. The 2952nd CLSS was recognized for the unit's overall training program and the squadron's security, financial management, and tool accountability programs. The Office of Inspector General Action Line inquire and response program and automated audit tracking program were applauded in the report. The report singled out the Staff Judge Advocate office invention disclosure and patent application program and writing of a preventive law handbook.
