Are you slowing down in your exercise program? It may be that your personality is more attuned to another type of activity and you don't even realize it. These are words of wisdom from James Gavin, PH.D., of Concordia University in Montreal and author of Body Moves: The Psychology of Exercise. Gavin developed a test that rates activities according to seven dimensions of personality. Examples: (1). Racket sports: all are high in sociability, risk taking, and competitiveness. (2). The Utah Associationof Counties contracted Dr. George Learning from the Western Economic Analysis Center in Marana, Arizona, to study the economix impact designating these lands as wilderness would have on the counties. The results of research done by Learning are a cause for concern among county governments. Learning says setting aside 3 2 million acres of land would cost $2.6 billion each year in personal income. This would reduce the state's income by 8 percent, and could cost Utah as many as 94,000 jobs. The BLM will release the final environmental impact statement, including public comment, this spring. The Secretary of the Interior will have until October 1991 to make his recommendations to the President, who will have until 1993 to give it to congress for their action. The Utah Association of Counties represents the interests of officials in all Utah Counties, and works to enhance county governments. 29, 1990 j- Wilrra Davis jj March A farewell testimonial was held for Elder Russell Carter, Sunday, March 25, 1990, at the Minersville Ward.
