Mllford City recently contracted with the Sheriffs Department to provide police services. Sheriff Yardley felt it would be in the best Interest of citizens in the Mllford area to have a loll free number for emergency police response. The new emergency number is gool for all telephone service with a 387 prefix. Phone stickers with emergency numbers will be distributed thoughout the County. 1 V. The City Council reviewed the Bearer City Housing AuthorltyAul-- it Report Oct. 1, 1985' to Sept, 30, 1987. After review Councilman Grlmshaw moved, Councilman Robinson 2nd, Beaver accept the Housing Authority Audit noting the exceptions of Schedule 1 page 1. All voted in session at favor. The swimming pool budget was reviewed hy the City Council. The up to date budget figures as prepared by Paul Bartoa County Clerk are attached hereto as Exhibit 267A. A discussion was held on the roughness of the plastering of com pteted swimming pools. Payrer9 5 from Rocky Mountain Pools was reviewed. All voted in Council met with the City and discussed proposed improvements the Fort Cammeron Recreation Area. Curtis Strong prsented the following improvements: 1. Small play fort 2. Three flood lights 3. Spray weeds and install rail road ties. Councilman Smith moved, Councilman Anderson 2nd, Beaver City will support the teen council in the three projects. All voted in favor. Richard Carter met with the Council to discuss obtaining a concession agreement to operate the new swimming pool complex. After discussion with Mr. Carter Councilman Smith moved, Councilman Robinson 2nd, Richard Carter be awarded the concession agreement, contingent upon an agreement being drafted which is acceptable to both parties. Mr. White would like the City waive business license fees that might be retjuired by the setting up of booths and help with road closures as necessary. It was the consensus of the Council the City will help in any way possible to make the sidewalk sale a success. Betty Miller and Dale Boilings -head of the Travel Council met with the City to request use of the front office of the Opera House. The office would be used as a information booth and tour center. An invoice from Sams Furniture & Appliance in the amount of $323.96 paid by David White for carpet at the City's rental home was reviewed. Reports from each principal Indicated there appeared to be much abuse In conforming with the policy as reported by staff members In all schools except Mllford Elementary. Applications for deer, elk, and antelope permits will be accepted June 15 to July 8. Big game applications and the 1988-8- 9 proclamation are available at all Division of Wildlife Resources Offices throughout the state and at most sporting goods 6tores. Applicants must have a 1988 Big game or combination license before applying for any hunt. Applications must be returned to the Division by MAIL ONLY no later than 5 p.m. on July 8, 1988. They will not be accepted if hand delivered or received later than that date. In addition, hunter education certification Is required for all hunters born after December 31, 1955. Young hunters 14 years old or who will turn 14 during the calendar year, may purchase an adult big game or combination license and apply tor big game permits this year after successfully completing a hunter education course. |
