On the first day the J.V. played the Piute Thunderbirds. The young Tigers shot very cold in the first half giving Piute the lead of 24 - 19. The second half was much the same story with Piute out scoring the Tiger by one and winning the game 56 - 50. The leading scorers of the game were Erik Thomas with 12 and Jared Gronning and Brandon Griffiths each with 10. Later that day, the Varsity played the Panguitch Bobcats in their first game of the tournament. Panguitch jumped out to an early lead W the 1st Quarter and of 3 sustained into the half, with the in their favor. Ihe win gave the varsity 3rd place in the Tournament. Jared Gronning was selected on the A !1 Tournament Team for the J.V. and Ryan Wilden and Todd Baxter were selected for Varsity. On January 2, the basketball t eam traveled to Dugway. In the J.V. game, Milford went out to an early 81-5- -- lead of 13-- 8 in the 1st quarter, but the Mustangs managed to come back and tie the score at 19.
