The dinner is sponsored by the Civilian Nonappropriated Funds Advisory Council: which will donate 50 cents toward each civilian employee's meal. In order to receive the discount representatives from each division or branch should pick up tickets for all their eligible employees today through Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. at ; the Civilian Recreation Center, Bldg. 564. Due to energy conservation, no Christmas lights will be permitted on base except in family housing units, clubs, day rooms, dining halls and religious facilities. ' No outside Christmas lights will be permitted except at the base chapel. Candles and other open flame7 producing devices will not be used for any occasion except for religious functions held at the base chapel or designated areas approved by the base fire chief. All seasonal or special decorations will be taken down immediately following the holiday. - We are also reminded of Ogden ALC Regulation e 92-use of attachment 13; concerning the small appliances for special occasions, such as holidays or projects, which may be authorized for food warming only. Approval must t be granted in writing for that particular date by the director or commander concerned. The director or commander will appoint a branch or section level monitor for small appliance use. All appliances must .. be listed by a recognized testing agency. Temperature settings on appliances must never exceed 200 degrees F. Employees eligible for the discount include all appropriated and nonappropriated Hill AFB civilian employees. Dependents and contractor personnel are not eligible. The ticket and $2.25 will entitle civilian employees to the Christmas dinner served between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday and Friday at all base restaurants. Dinner will also be available in Restaurants 230 and 402 from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday for swing shift employees and in Restaurant 402 Friday from 1 to 2:30 a.m; for ; graveyard workers. . Now that Christmas is just around the corner, all of us are concerned about the type of decorations . we can use. None of us want our holiday spoiled by a fire. This is the time of year when decorations start popping up in offices and buildings. To clear up some of the questions regarding decorations, let's refer to Ogden Air Logistics Center Regulation 92-1- , attachment 8. Natural Christmas trees and decorations will be permitted in day rooms, clubs, family housing units, dining halls and religious facilities. Artificial Christmas trees and decorations will be permitted in dormitory living quarters providing such trees and decorations are flame retardant and approved by a recognized testing laboratory. "Natural trees will be fresh cut and in water or wet sand. No attempt will be made to fireproof natural trees. Artificial aluminum trees are conductors of electricity. The use of tree lighting sets on this type of tree is strictly prohibited. Friday, The meal will include turkey or ham with all the trimmings, including drink and dessert. The tickets are valid for the special meal only and will not be honored for cash or for any other purchase, such as. candy, cigarettes, ice cream, etc. Each employee is eligible for one ticket only. A directorate or organization monitor for this program should be furnished to the Civilian Recreation Office on or before Monday. The individual's name, office symbol, and duty phone should be included. This individual will act as a single point of contact for this program.
