Reynolds Commander, Ogden ALC Q The floodlight that illuminates the inter section of Second Street and F Street is out and it is very hard to see pedestrians who cross there which creates a very dangerous situation. Could matters such as this be taken care of on an emergency basis rather than by routine - A Floodlights illuminating this intersection were checked, inspected and found operational by swing shift workmen Sept. 26. Sometimes, other light sources turn the electric eyes off for short periods of time; also, lights burn out dur- Traffic danger Q gate there Floodlights As you enter the base throueh the Rov is a road that turns right and goes down past Tooele Army Depot (Rail Shop DivRSD). Just before you get to that road to turn right there is a sign that reads, "Right lane must turn right between 0600 and 0800." Several times I have just about been hit by cars traveling in the right lane because they do not turn right as the sign directs, forcing the left lane of traffic 'over into the oncoming traffic. Would it be possible for Security Police to patrol this area for a few days and issue tickets to the offenders? ing the night causing problems in the area. Lights are repaired as soon as possible, but at times workload, equipment, material, and priorities do not allow us to accomplish relamping every day. Your interest in safety is appreciated, and you may want to call the electrical superintendent, Mr. Rose, Extf 73."20, anytime you feel an electrical safety hazard exists. A and locker at the base gym. There seems to be a lot of people waiting for the lockers, and I have noticed that there are quite a few civilians with clothing lockers. Since civilians do not have a requirement for aerobics and weight limit as military members do, I was wondering what the policy is regarding civilians having lockers? I would also like to know if there are plans to acquire additional lockers in the future? Currently, the gym has 458 lockers for men and 50 for women, of which only 58 and 29, respectively, are for daily use customers, military and civilian. The remaining lockers are permanent use lockers. These are assigned only to active duty military personnel; civilians are not provided permanent lockers. The long waiting list you refer to attests to the fact that there presently are not enough lockers to serve all of our customers who wish to have one on a permanent basis. A planned construction project, scheduled to begin in fiscal 84, includes expansion of both the men's and women's locker rooms. This will give us an additional 100 lockers in each locker room. Completion of the project will aid in minimizing the waiting list for active duty personnel wanting permanent lockers. Security Police patrols on both midnight and day shifts have been directed to monitor this problem and cite all violators. Due to manpower constraints there may, not be a patrol there every day. However, Security, Police will monitor this intersection as frequently as possible. Security Police appreciate being notified whenever traffic safety hazards are identified. Also, why have they been unable to get the air pressure repaired in the hobby shop? A When the hobby shop paint booth was purchased, it was thought to be and ready for use. When it was assembled, however, we found it was actually only an interior shell. Funds have since been budgeted and approved for purchase of an exterior building. A purchase order will be initiated as soon as siting approval is obtained from the Facilities Board. This approval should be granted in the very near future. Opening of the facility should be in early 1984. The air compressor was repaired Sept. 20. The delay was caused by the need to order a special high pressure switch for the auto lifts. self-contain- iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiHiiiiiiiiiiiij DSOM 1977 Cheve ElDorado Camper Van!
