A security cop checked his credentials and smelled alcohol on his breath. The breathalyzer test resulted in a reading of .17. The driver was turned over to Investigations: Two $80 government parkas were taken from an office of the 4th Aircraft Maintenance Unit in Bldg. 397 and a security policeman's jacket was stolen from the washroom of Bldg. 351. The parkas were stolen Feb. 8 at 3:11 p.m., the jacket at 7:10 Feb 9. civilian authorities and charged with DUL Accidents: Icy roads were blamed for several accidents last week. One was on the parking lot west of Bldg. 240. A car was backing out of a parking space and slid into another automobile. Damages were estimated at $300. A driver of a Volkswagen skidded his car into a Plymouth when making a left turn into the housing area at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 8. Damages to the Volkswagen totaled $300.' The Drinking and driving: A car was spotted driving erratically and failing to stop for a stop sign by a security police patrol at 1:32 a.m. Feb. 12 on base. The patrol gave chase and the vehicle, driven by an Air Force member, failed to stop for the SPs and for another stop sign. It did stop when it became stuck in a snowbank. The driver was given a breathalyzer check which resulted in a .17 reading. He was charged with DUI, reckless driving and attempting to evade the security police. An SP investigated a car stopped in a traffic lane on 7th St. at 36 minutes after midnight the morning of Feb. 12. He smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver of the car who was a member of the Air Force. A breathalyzer test was given and a reading of .12 obtained. The Air Force man was charged with DUI and turned over to his first sergeant. An automobile, stopped for a red light at the intersection of 6th and Liberty" Streets, was struck by a snowplow from the rear. Damages were slight, approximately $70. This accident occurred on Feb.7 at 11:15 a.m. The driver of a car attempted to make a left turn from 2nd St. onto L St. The car behind him could not stop and its driver pulled into the opposite lane, and collided with a pickup truck. This caused damages totaling $1,200. This accident was reported at 9:50 a.m. Feb. 8. Some $1,600 in damages resulted when an automobile was driven into the wrong lane momentarily and collided with another vehicle at 3 p.m. Feb. 10. This collision was at the corner of 6th and 11th Streets. A vehicle driven on 6th St. collided with a governent vehicle on F St. at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11th. Total damages were estimated at $2,300. For drinking drivers, Plymouth suffered no reported damage. The driver of a garbage truck attempted to stop his truck at the corner of Colorado and Gum Streets. The truck hit a car on Gum St. and that car hit two more. Total damages to the cars were $750. No injuries were parties reported. A driver lost control of his vehicle at the intersection of 2nd and M Streets and a three car accident resulted. His car hit two other vehicles on M St. No damage estimate was given by officials. .
