Show HILL TOP TIMES Page 2 June 18, 1982 Ogden ALC gefs A scale model 6 Fighting Falcon was given to the Ogden Air Logistics F-1- Center Tuesday by the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. Maj. Gen. Leo Marquez accepted the model for his command. He told those gathered that the 6 was a symbol of F-1- cooperation between government, industry and units of the Air Force. In the brief ceremony General Dynamics vice president of Logistical Support, Rolf Kruger, presented the one-fift- h scale model to Col. Peter T. Kempf, commander, 388th TFW. Kempf presented the model to Ogden ALC for use in the static display located in front of Bldg. 180. The model emphasizes the wing's appreciation for F-1- model 6 support provided by the base which enables the 388th to do its mission. Marquez said putting the 6 model beside models of the ,F-- 4 and Minuteman Missile shows the importance of the 6 to the ALC. "The 6 is a worthy system to join those systems which have done so much," Marquez said. F-1- F-1- i F-1- 0V i The model becomes a part of the AFLC Heritage Program, which preserves and emphasizes the Air Force x heritage. Following the presentation the plaque on the pedestal supporting the model was unveiled.. It reads, "To the TAC-AFLpartnership that ensures we will FLY FIGHT - WIN." Warren Leech, INCOIC of the Equipment Maintenance Branch, gives General Creech a look at an 6 that was in a maintenance hangar undergoing an inspection. F-1- As Air Force Space program honored - Pay : part of the Northrop University 40th anniversary celebration at Inglewood, Calif., the place where the Air Force's first intercontinental ballistic missile was developed will be honored. It is now. part of the university's campus. ICBMs were developed by various Air Force space organizations at the site between .1955 and 1962. The ceremonies will also pay tribute to the Air Force Space Program commanded by retired Air Force Gen. Bernard A. Schriever." (AFNS) .
