Maj . Gen . John J. Murphy, Ogden Air Logistics Center commander, will welcome the astronauts and Utah Senator Jake Garn will introduce them. Gtah Lieutenant Governor David Monson will accept a flag from them which was carried aboard the Space Shuttle "Columbia" during the recent initial flight. No newcomer to Hill, Colonel Collipi has served as Chief, Resources Management Division in the directorate since 1979. From Pomona, Calif., he attended the University of Nebraska and earned a bachelors degree in business. He was commissioned into the Air Force in 1957. He continued his education, earning a master's degree in business administration at George Washington University, attended the Education with Industry Program at Lockheed, Ga. , in 1971 , Squadron Officer School in 1963, the Air Command and Staff College class of 1968 and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, class of 1976. During his military career he has held positions such as radar intercept officer flying aircraft and at AFB, Ariz., Goose Bay, Labrador and Wurtsmith AFB, Mich.; served as a faculty member at Squadron Officer School, Maxwell AFB, Ala., a navigator on 0 aircraft and chief of the Operations Plans Branch at Clark Air Base, Philippines. He has also served a tour as Chief, AFLC Division, Programs F-8- F-1- 9 01 Davis-Montha- n C-13- AFB, headquarters, and a tour as Director of Logistics, Wright-Patterso- n U.S. Defense Liaison Group, U.S. Embassy, Jakarta, Indonesia.
