Scheduled to come here in October, the system will allow Air Force personnel to insert an encoded into a card reader, select a dispenser for gasoline or oil, pump the product and leave the service station, all without aid of a station operator. serv-o-plat- e coming soon to Hill AFB ; card reader panel is used to activate dispensers for pumping gas or oil. Instructions are provided on the card reader panel to assist people through the sequence for activating the A pumps. ,,,, , unleaded and leaded Besides ,1 gasoline disel fuel and eventually, gasohol, two grades of oil can be dispensed. The oil dispenser is enclosed in a housing that has special insulation and a thermostatically controlled heater so it will be able to withstand weather extremes. According to manager Jim Lykins, vehicle control officers will receive training prior to its implementation. The system will provide for fast, efficient and accurate issue of gas and oil, as well as speeding processing actions. It will also reduce the workload in the base level fuels accounting system by automatically recording data on the gas and oil issued and preparing the data for direct input into a computer.
