After all displays, films and exhibits, there will be free swimming for the rest of the day at the pool of choice for everyone attending. fun for everyone tf) B- Sports loan the Youth Center: A is planned for June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on June 21 there will be a New Games Day at the picnic pavilion from 1 to 6 p.m. for all ages. At Bike-A-Th- Military Sports Loan: Every Wednesday during the month there will be displays of all available checkout equipment. On Biking hmB Summer Golf the Golf Course: On June 7 there will be a two-ma- n Recreation Month Best Ball Tournament from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. ' on Swimming and , enjoy recreational activities on base. Col. Michael W. Moore, Hill AFB commander, said, "I invite base personnel and their families to participate - in the recreation programs of their choice during the month and have proclaimed June as Hill AFB Recreation Month." To assure that Hill has "something for everyone" and recreational opportunities to here is appeal to young, old, and middle-age- , the list of activities planned for Recreation Month at Hill AFB. adSvWo ng Bowling Center: All Saturdays and Sundays during June there will be open bowling, three lines for $1. There will also be Red Pins during the month. This means if you get a strike when the head pin is red, you will receive one free game of bowling. Beginning Monday and continuing each weekday during the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a Bowling Luncheon Special of a hamburger, drink and one line French fries, and a of bowling for $1.25. 20-ce- nt Arts and Crafts (Includes the auto and wood hobby shops) : On June 12 there will be demonstrations, displays and two hours free shop time. Horseback trip Thornton Recreation Center: Today through Sunday is the Cache Valley Horseback and camping trip for $35 per person. On Tuesday will be the Tournament of Champions Pool and Ping Pong featuring Hill AFB vs. Hill Range at 9 a.m. On June 13 will be a free disco dance featuring "Horseman," dance contests and a fashion show at 9:30 p.m. On June 17 will be "The Peddlers" dance and show at 8 p.m. A $2 cover charge will be assessed this night. On June 21 through 23 will be the Whitewater Raft Trip down the Green River at a cost of $35 per person. Recreation month will end at the center on June 27 with a "Midnight Blue Review' ' show and dance at 9 p.m. This will be free of charge. -- Summer reading Gerrity Memorial Library: Summer reading program begins June 16 and the weekly story hours begin June 18. Family . Reading Day will be highlighted June 26 when Marty Collett from Weber State Collegewill present applications of family reading. During the month there will be a special display of recreation books and a prepared bibliography of family recreation reading.
