Show October 19. 1979 SSgt. Jeffrey P. Middaugh, Sgt. Robert N. Hudson and A1C. Melanie K. Fulp have been selected to represent the 2849th Directorate of , Distribution Squadron in the forthcoming j Outstanding NCO and Airman of the Quarter nominations. Sergeant Middaugh will compete for outstanding career NCO. He is NCOIC of the mobility support unit, Headquarters Squadron Section. He is in charge of all equipment transactions involving the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing. During the past quarter his unit was responsible for the successful "bed down" of all EAID support equipment for the newly assigned 6 fighter aircraft In conjunction with this, his unit also loaded the mobility packages for the first squadron of the aircraft. He was the single point of contact within the squadron for project "Peace Pharaoh," a high level operation involving the United States and Egypt in which 18 aircraft and all support Equipment necessary to support them had to be shipped to Cairo, Egypt on very short notice. Sergeant Middaugh processed over F-1- 00 computer inputs in order to meet the short suspense. The sergeant has attended the Hill NCO Leadership School, where he finished as one of three distinguished graduates. He earned the Commandant's Award and the Instructor Abilities Award. He is also a recent graduate of Community College of the Air Force and is working toward a B.A. degree in business administration at Weber State Sergeant Middaugh is also active in the Air Force community. He is vice president of the base enlisted advisory committee, a member of the Catholic Chaplain's Fund Council, member-at-larg- e of the Catholic Parish Council and captain of intramural golf and bowling teams. He has been active in establishing the base chapel gospel choir and on a regular basis visits the civilian community teaching the bible and its meaning to church groups. He also visits the sick in hospitals and prisoners vat Utah State Prison. Airman Fulp will compete for outstanding airman. She is a squadron unit administrative clerk responsible for scheduling personnel for various appointments, i.e., dental, immunizations, physicals, etc. and other administrative duties. During the quarter. Airman Fulp continued to maintain a 100 percent accuracy rate in the sponsorship program, a 95 percent rate in dental appointments and processed all Article College.
