I think the movie could have done more justice to the book it was a poor rendition. A book that I just recently read, and that I enjoyed, was called The Relaxation Response. It is kind of a poor man's guide to transcendental meditation. It says you can essentially achieve the same thing without going through the expense of the lessons of transcendental meditation." Capt. Young, squadron flight test project manager, 6514th Test Sq.: "I recently read a couple of fiction books. The first one was The Snake by John Godey he is the author of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three. I didn't like it too well, because it doesn't have the suspense or excitement I like in a book. It is about a Mamba snake (similar to a Cobra) that is loose in New York's Central Park. The other one is Coma by Robin Cook. I enjoyed it very much. It is very suspenseful. It is about patients who go into a hospital and become comatose for unknown n causes. A novel I read is The Winter Soldiers, which is about the 1776 battle between Washington and the British, and the hardships and struggles they faced. It is particularly well written, and I enjoyed it very much." non-fictio- Paula Rogers, 6514th clerk-typis- t, Test Sq.: ppllPSI; jiiiliiilB taiiliti liiKiiliiil IIPKSilllii fWSi-lSf- "I read Hobbitt and I really liked it. I also saw the movie. I read the book first and then saw the movie. I liked the film better, but I think the book helped me understand the movie which caused me to like it better." As usual, the film didn't cover the entire book, so those who like to read would probably prefer the book." by Susan Hawn y Tech. Sgt. Janice R. Irving, NCOIC classification and training, DPMPC: "The only book I have read in the last month or so was The Complete Book of Running. It was a pretty informative book and I enjoyed it. I'm interested in jogging, but I haven't done much of it since I came here a month ago it has been too cold. I think my two favorite books have been Centennial and The Thorn Birds. They are similar in that they follow generations of a family and you learn what happens to a family over a period of years;" |
