This unique facility provides overnight lodging, reasonably priced meals and all of the beauty of the mountain winter scene. Hillhaus is located near the Snow Basin Ski area on Utah Highway 226 up Ogden Canyon, 27 miles from the base. 1 EXCELLENT COMMERCIAL skiing facilities are available less than a mile from Hillhaus. 1 Overnight lodging facilities include a family room with four beds and separate men's and ladies' dormitories with five beds each. COST OF RENTING the family room is $16 per night. Individual beds in the dormitories rent for $4 per night. The dormitories are primarily for single or unaccompanied men and wonn; however, families may reserve an entire dormitory at $20 per night providing no individual reservations have ie i made by noon Wednesday of each week. . A traditional Christmas Day dinner will be served in the airmen's dining hall on Christmas Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The following will be served: m,..: is """to"! Dining holl holiday monu , Personnel wishing to rent a dormitory for a family will be placed on a waiting list until Wednesday noon and then assigned dormitories on a first requested basis. RESERVATIONS MAY BE MADE up to 30 days in advance by calling Ext. 2651 or 2716, or by visiting the Recreation Confirmed Services Branch located in Room 108, Bldg. in in reservations are payable advance the same office. Hillhaus Lodge 0. Reasonably priced meals and soft drinks are available for overnight guests and eligible drop-i- n patrons. Hillhaus is open from 5 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Sunday with overnight lodging available on Friday and Saturday nights. THIS FACILITY WILL BE OPEN during the Year's holidays beginning Dec. 22, 1978 Christmas-Ne- through Jan. w 1, THE SHUTTLE SERVICE between the Hillhaus Lodge and the Powder Puff run at Snow B'xsin will be every half hour between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. At all other times it will run every hour. Active duty military will be given first priority dependents and retired military will be accommodated on a space available basis. Shrimp cocktail with lemon wedges and crackers Roast turkey with bread dressing, giblet gravy and cranberry sauce Baked ham with pineapple sauce Mashed potatoes Glazed sweet potatoes Buttered green beans with mushrooms Parsley buttered cauliflower Assorted relishes Assorted salads and dressings Hot cloverleaf rolls, butter Hot apple pie, pumpkin pie with topping, hot mincemeat pie Assorted fresh fruit Assorted candies and nuts Coffee, tea and milk Immediate members of the family and not more than two guests of authorized military personnel are invited to attend. Appropriate meal rates are: Military, $2.90; Adult guests, $1.90; Children under 12, $1.50. The dinner meal hours are 4 to 5 p.m. 1979. Effective Dec. 16, a ski bus leaves the parking lot at the base Sunday Bldg. 525, each Saturday and gymnasium, at 8:30 a.m. and departs the Lodge for return to Hill AFB at 3 : 30 p.m. throughout the ski season. There will also be a ski bus on Dec. 26 through 31, 1978, for the holidays, same times as above. f teams to support 'Jaek Frost' APS The 67th and 68th Aerial Port Squadrons will send two teams to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska, in support of JCS Exercise "Jack Frost." The first team will deploy Jan. 13-2- 7, and The Perfect Christmas. 6Jft the second team will deploy from Jan. 27 Feb. 10. These teams not only will receive valuable training in aerial port operations, but also will be issued arctic gear and gain -- valuable experience in supporting this important mission in Alaska. , Gather the family round the tree.
