The one hour expended lf over and above the normal lunch period will be counted as an authorized excused absence and not chargeable to leave. Guest speaker will be Kathleen Andrews, a personnel management specialist from the Denver Regional Office of the Civil Service Commission. She will address the Factor Evaluation System and related impact upon secretary and steno positions. Mrs. Andrews has six years working for the Department of Commerce, the Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Navy. In addition to her present position, she is also a training instructor in the Personnel Management Institute of the where she Commission, conducts courses in personnel management, with emphasis on position classification. Mrs. Andrews has an M.S. degree in public administration from Illinois State University. and her husband, Williams, is a French Chef. They own their own restaurant and her hobby is French cooking. Dwyer Stringer, has been selected as the April recipient of the Company Grade Officers' Council "Pleasant Person Plaudit." Mrs. McKay was selected for the award for her pleasant demeanor and willingness to accomplish frequent urgent assignments in addition to her regular full workload. "Her infectious smile and pleasant personality work together to enhance her work environment," a council member said. The "Pleasant Person Plaudit" is awarded monthly by the council to a Hill AFB employe who reflects a pleasant and helpful attitude as well as performance beyond that normally expected.
