They will participate in the "Crested Cap 75" exercise. The aircraft and crews belong to the 49th Tactical Fighter Wing at Holloman AFB, N.M. and ABandBitburg AB, Germany, Sept . 6 and Oct. 3. TAC SAC F-4- S PRESENTED SPAATZ AWARD BY TAC Gen. Robert J. Dixon, commander of Tactical Air Command, presented the Gen. Carl "Tooey" Spaatz Award to Gen. Russell E. Dougherty, commander in chief of Strategic Air Command Sept. 4. The ceremonies were at Langley AFB, Va. The award is "in appreciation of superb air refueling support of worldwide tactical fighter forces past, present, and future." The award will be presented annually to the best tanker unit in SAC. YC-1- 5 MAKES FIRST FLIGHT YC-1- 5 The McDonnell-Dougla- s prototype advanced medium short takeoff and landing transport (AMST) made its first flight Aug. 26 from Long Beach Municipal Airport.
