Dennis earned the right to represent Utah at the conference by presenting winning entries in the Utah State Science Talent Search Each year the Talent Search is conducted by the Utah State Board of Education and the Utah Junior Academy of Sciences, Arts, and Letters. One hundred young scientists from around the country will exchange ideas and scientific information during the camp. Dennis became a finalist in the state competition with his entry.
