The Directorate of Maintenance is DSE's largest customer with an inventory of over 64,000 units of equipment property custodian in properly maintaining his custody account. Custodian training is a prerequisite to receipting for property. The Equipment Control Branch is Management responsible for maintaining and reporting all accountable records for organizational equipment including serialized This equipment. branch also has the responsibility for conducting annual inventories for weaopns and vehicles. Registered Equipment From Management Section serves as the monitor for REM items (vehicles) to receive, evaluate, and insure current a Wide selection of clothing and hand tools and prides itself on efficient customer service. Of particular intersest to cost conscious customers is the method of direct billing for authorization asset management records. The Operational Support Branch provides pick up and delivery service for items managed by DSE. The entire base receipt, storage, issue and management responsibility for expendable tools and clothing in Federal Stock Classes 51,52, and 84 are also the responsibility of this branch.
