Sub-for-San- ta The Chapel "clearing house", headquarters for the projects, has received pledges to take care of 132 needy families with a load of Christmas cheer for each. Chaplain (Capt.) David D. Roop, in charge of the chapel activities for Santa, said, "Last year the base responded to the needs of 148 952 persons of which 646 families were children. Provisions should be made, according to Chapel officials, for (1) a good Christmas dinner plus extra food for the holiday week; (2) a Christmas tree with a few ornaments if the family has none; (3) one new gift for each child, that is, Sub-for-San- ta Sub-for-San- ta home-mad- if only one gift is provided, it should be new; extras of clean clothing in good repair and used toys that really work.
