Show HILL TOP TIMES Page 24 Women Bowlers Set New Season Attention all Hill AFB Ladies The time has come to begin plans for the new bowling season about to begin. Members of the Hill AFB Ladies Bowling League from previous years are welcomed back and new members are invited to join in the fun. The league bowls on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. at the White City Bowl in Ogden. The annual organization and rules meeting will be held Aug. 21 at 6:30 p.m. at White City Bowl, 440 25th Street, Ogden. After the meeting those at tending may bowl at reduced rates to practice for the first night, Sept. 4. The league has1 room for new full teams or for individual members. Speckle Pal, an Appaloosa stallion, with his owner, Jim Marsh, Cataloguing technician from Materiel Management, and Janice Titensor, daughter of Betty Titensor of Shops Division, Maintenance, have their trophy for "Grand Champion Performance Horse Award' at the Appaloosa Horse Club competition in Afton, Wyo. The unbeatable trio participated in many events such as stock saddle races, calf roping, cow cutting, pleasure class, pole bending and the reigning classes. Mr. Marsh and Speckle Pal also recently won the Utah Regional Grand Champion Performance trophy; and Janice took the Horsemanship with Speckle Pal, trophy in the Miss Rodeo of Utah event of course. She was also named first attendant to Miss Rodeo of Utah for 1969. Robins AFB Hosting AFLC Golf Meet Robins AFB is hosting the ships this week at the G,388-yar- d Competing are the defending champion, Kelly AFIJ, Tex.; Hill AFB. Tinker AFB, Okla.; Wright-Patterso- n AFB, Ohio; AFB, Calif.; Grif-fis- s AFB, N.Y.; P.rookley AFB. Ala.; and Robins AFB. Five-ma- n teams will compete medal play Ojwn in the Senior Division and three-ma- n Division teams will compete. Special awards will be given to the longest drive on No. 1 and the closest to the pin on No. 10 for the four days. Pro Ed Causey of Robins AFB will be chairman of the rules committee. Members of the Robins AFB Officers Wives Club Golfers group will handle the scoring and various other items.
