The flight is entering its second year of serving with the 945th Military Airlift Group (Reserve) at Hill Air Force Base, and their official duties are much like that of a reserve officer. The group has been commanded by Capt. Ronald France since they were assigned to the 945th MAG in January, 1967. In addition, they are required to participate in additional flying time each month of about five hours, and go through what is called "survival training" every, second year. A highlight of the training comes when the nurses may apply their knowledge under actual conditions of evacuating wounded from Vietnam, or other airlift operations.
