Prior to his appointment at Hill AFB, Colonel Baynes was (Continued on Page 44) Col. Mauck Named Maintenance Chief A new director of Maintenance has been assigned to the Ogden Air Materiel Area, it was announced today by Maj. Gen. T. Alan Bennett, Ogden AMA commander. v Col. E. B. Mauck, formerly director of Maintenance at San Antonio AMA. lie is A veteran of 26 years of military service, Colonel Mauck entered the service in 1941 and received his pilot's wings and second lieutenant's commission in 1942. He is now a command pilot. During World War II he served in Europe where he was a 4 bomber pilot and flew 50 missions. In 1949 and in 1952 he also served in Europe. In 1950 he attended the Air Force Staff College in Virginia and in 1955 the Air Force Staff B-2- (Continued on Page 30) |
