Holm jeras named this week to become director of Women in the iAir Force in the grade of colonel following the retirement of Col. Elizabeth Ray, Nov. 1. Colonel Holm is presently assigned to the Hq. USAF Directorate of Manpower and Organization as a planning and programming officer. She also is chief of the staff team for Congressional hearings Shooting Gallery Tests on manpower and organization. Colonel Ray has been the Air Force director of WAF since Sept. 1, 1961. She had previously , served as deputy director from 1952 to 1955. Born in Portland, Ore., Colonel Holm obtained her BA degree in Arts and Language from the Lewis and Clark College here in 1957, attending the last semester under the Air Force "Bootstrap" program.
