Show rage HILL TOP TIMES 10 February GIRLS APPOINTED TO HONOR SOCIETY Two dependents of Hill AFB personnel were appointed to the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools last week. Mary Anne Nathe and Christine Dowiatt were inducted into the society at an impressive ceremony at St. Joseph High School in Ogden last Friday. The students received membership pins and cards as evidence of the honor bestowed upon them. In order to qualify for membership the girls had to have outstanding records in character, scholarship, leadership and vt service and be recommended by the school faculty. The final selection is made y the headquarters of the society in Washington, D.C. Both girls are dependents of Ogden Contract Management District personnel. Miss Nathe is the daughter of Lt. Colonel Leonard II. Nathe, while Miss Dowiatt's father is Adolph C. Dowiatt. NEW ASSIGNMENT Good wishes are extended mummma &mw, I UP AFB personnel to Wiley Miller who has been the superintendent of the Hill AFB branch post office for close to six years. Wiley has been promoted to the position of station Opal and Roy superintendent at the Gorder Station, 936 28th Street, Ogden. HONORED Mr. Miller's helpful, friendly service was considered "tops" About 100 friends gathered by everyone who visited the Hill at a farewell dinner for Opal I. post office. Schrock, commander, presented awards to Edith W. Baldwin for 20 years service, Rheumina Udy for 20 years service, Denice Nye for Sustained Superior Work, Martha Williford for 10 years duty, and Harold Laughter for 10 years service, THREE DECADES SERVICE At special ceremonies held recently, Herman W. Kolpack was presented a certificate of service and a pin for completing 30 years of federal service. The certificate, signed fwm by General Mark E. Bradley, was presented by;? Colonel Hahn, Director of Supply and Transpor- tation. Mr. Kolpack began his career by enlisting in the Army in 1922. He served in World War II in the Pacific theater. After retiring from the service in 1946, he worked for two years at the Army Ordnance Service School in the Philippines. He came to work at Hill in January 1958 and is presently assigned as a general supply of ficer in the Field Services Branch. Herm mm NEW BRANCH SECRETARY Plant Services Branch has a new branch secretary, Viola Dougherty. Viola is taking Deanna VanderSteen's place in the branch. Deanna has resigned to await the stork and assume full-tihome duties. Her joined in getting her a lovely cake and presented her with some beautiful baby things. me ers ENJOYS COAST HOLIDAY Ben Yaunt, millwright foreman of Plant Services Branch, and his family recently enjoyed a holiday with his brother in San Diego, Calif. , 17th F.
