' Following his service in the Army, Mr. Powers was employed s a guard at the Ogden Ordnance Depot and served without a break in service until his retirement having been transferred along with other members of the Security and Fire Departments at the time the Ogden Arsenal was deactivated. Present at the retirement ceremonies was Mr. Powers' wife, Tessie, who is an in the 2791st USAF Hospital. Also in attendance, were Col. Raymond W. Continental Competition The 733d Troop Carrier Squadron at Hill AFB returned victorious from the Sixth Annual Continental Air Command Reserve Troop Carrier competition conducted at Ellington AFB, Texas. This victory marked the first time that any competing organization had won the competition in successive years. It was also the first time that any troop carrier organization had won this national honor for the second time. Thirty-nin- e of the sharpest in the Air crews carrier troop Force Reserve competed in this event. These crews represented 13 troop carrier wings located throughout the United States. The competition was designed to demonstrate the proven profi- - ciency and the capability of re- serve air crews to perform their mission while assigned war-tim- e increasing esprit de corps within each organization. The competition was divided into three phases.
