Hibbs' knowledge of criminology is not. much help in Viet Nam, "but his first aid skill has won him the friendship of the primitive Montagnard tribe who occupy the remote village of Plei Bruk Ron. Captain Hibbs, after discovering the tribe while hunting, wrote to friends in America for supplies of soap, clothing and medicine. In addition he enlisted the aid of a Vietnamese surgeon to treat the Montagnards for their other serious ailments. The captain is an adviser .to the Vietnamese Air Force at Pleiku.
