He has been a civil service worker since June, 1953, starting with the field services office detached to Army liaison office at Hill. He transferred into the missile field in April, 1960. He resides at 1337 Cross Street, Ogden, with his wife, Kuneko, and daughter, Ruth Ann. REDISTRIBUTION AND MARKETING NEWS Congratulations are extended to Terry Cruz, the new Mrs. Theresa C. Loosle, and Don Andreasen, employees of the Disposal Division, who were recently married. The Ladies Birthday Club held a party at the Hotel Utah Skyroom. Guests of honor celebrating their birthdays were Mary K. Gross and Trieste Klint. Mary Burkhart and Peggy Pearce of the Accounting Branch received $272.50 checks for their combined suggestion which resulted in an improved accounting procedure for the control of excess property in the Redistribution and Marketing activity. That's when k they enjoyed a fabulous tour of Canada and the Eastern United States. The girls, Sharon Stokes, daughter of Ruth Stokes, photo lab, and Eileen Peterson, daughter of Russell Peterson, Civil Engineering; and Leota Peterson, Accounting, left by bus on July 21 with a group of other young folks from this area. The kids do their own cooking along the way and sleep in sleeping bags with an occasional stop at a cafe and hotel. The tour includes visits to Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, New York, Chicago, and Washington, D. C. Mrs. Shirley s. Bensog was recognized for her outstanding performance in her positio as secretary for Lt. Col. T. H. Barksdale. The citation stated that "Mrs. Benson's intense interest and dependability have made he a valuable asset to the office of the Staff Judge Advocate and to the Air Force." Congratulations also go to Mr. George A. White, who has been i?i the Claims office for over 16 years. Through Mr. White's excellent service, the Ogden AMA Claims office has been recognized as one of the best in AFLC, the award pointed out. THIS AND THAT Marriage ceremonies held at Elko, Nevada, recently united Jim VanderSteen, Production Control Division, and DeAnna ' Lewis, Plant Services Branch. The happy couple spent a week fishing in Idaho, Montana and Wyoming before returning to their jobs at Hill AFB. Administrative Support Branch, Maintenance, welcomed two new employees recently. Bennie London from Civil Engineering Division is the new clerk typist, having taken over from Tonya Day, who returned to the Accessories Production Control branch. Barbara Allison is the other new employee who transferred from Quality Control Branch. Lester I Lund retired this month after 22 years of government service.
