Mrs. Thorderson received the award for her superior work as Chief of the Key Punch Branch. Rex Beesley, chief of the Processing Control Division, said that Mrs. Thorderson helped implement the mark sense procedures in processing source documents through the supply system. She was also instrumental in developing improved work methods and procedures to the extent that requirements for three additional allotments were withdrawn from the Comptroller and a net savings of $12,840 per year was realized. . Mrs. Thorderson first started working at Hill AFB in 1951.
