Y ' Second place honors were won by the Hill Air Force Base Basketball team in the 3Gth Air Division Invitation basketball tournament held last week at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Tucson, Arizona. according to zna josepn ivi., Hess, athletic officer. The Hornet five won their first two games in impressive fashion as they beat Yuma Air Force Base 9 in the opener and then downed ' Davis Monthan Air Force Ease in s. the Against Yuma the Hill Courtiers built up a 20 point half time lead and then coasted in to victory as the reserves played out most of the second half. In the semi-fingame Hill met the powerful host team from Davis Monthan with Hill being the underdog. The much smaller Hornet team would not be denied victory however as they handed the home base their first loss of the season The Hornets by a score of lead early in the built up a game and then played control ball to win the game going away.
