Guy Murdock, Warehouse 20B "A friendly HEADQUARTERS BRIEFINGS UN iHHi By Brig:. General Norris B. Harbold The day of this writing is an anniversary for me. One year has passed since my assumption of Command of the Ogden Air Materiel Area and the 25th Air Depot Wing. My previous experience at this business was none. However, as Tnanonf Ar flaneur a nf tha Air Mnrpril Command for a vear.and a half, I ha? to visit, inspect and analyze the operations of all of the Air Materiel Command Installations. This included an or tne ajvias, an the separate bases and all of the Procurement Field Offices, and Plant Representatives. It was excellent training for my present assignment. I had occasion to observe what was good and what was not so good, and it was my job to determine why in both instances. In fact I picked up, during this period, another name: I was called on many occasions "Mr. Why". It is still a good question to apply to one's self, and to the manner of doing things. If you have a good answer, you are probably a happy individual and a productive member of society. During my first year here, I have been asking that question many times, both of myself and of others. This past year has been very instructive for me. I have thoroughly enjoyed my part of the work; I have enjoyed the acquaintance of many residents of this very hospitable valley; I have had the opportunity to know and work with a great number of fine people, civilian and military. I sincerely hope that my stay here will be long enough so that ' we may achieve those goals toward which we are working, together. - 1 r lAf Marie Kramer, Synthetic Trainer 17, N. Y.
