These include military dances Dec. 23 and Dec. 31 at the service club. At the Christmas dance, gifts will be distributed to all present by the Red Cross. Religious services at the field begin Sunday and last through Christmas day. These have been arranged for both military and civilian personnel and transportation will be provided from' the dormitories for every service except the carol singing on Christmas eve. The home hospitality program in Salt Lake City and Ogden has made it possible for many service men and women to enjoy Christmas in the homes of local residents. Xmas Trees for Day Rooms Christmas trees and decorations were supplied for all' day rooms and mess halls on the field by special services. Thursday evening at the service club a Christmas musicale will be . dinner. (Conunutd on rat Two Mother Gets Medal For Missing Son The mother of a staff sergeant, reported missing in' action, was given the Air Medal and three oak leaf clusters awarded to her son last Friday by Lt Col. Paul R. Martin, AC( representing CoLPaul W. Wolf. OATSC commandins of ficer. The award was made to Mrs. Vilate Davis of Ogden. The citation acocmpanying the award made to her son, SSgt Harold Davis, read as follows: "For exceptionally meritorious achievement, while participating in over ten separate bomber com bat missions over continental Europe. The courage, coolness and skill displayed by this enlisted man upon these oc- himself and the armed forces of the United States." Traffic to Be Closed in Schools Area Move Necessary to Permit Laying Of Railroad Spur Vehicular and pedestrian traffic area proximate to the clock house and post schools will ; be prohibited beginning tomorrow or Friday, officials here said yesterday, to allow for the construction of a special railroad spur to buildwarehouse 16, immeding iately north of the clockhouse and west of the engine, test block. The project wul require approximately 45 days to complete, officials said, asking for the 'cooperation of all employes in whatever emergency measures are deemed necessary. Lower warehouse employes will board intra-deptrains at a point further west than at present Passenger car traffic, allowed on the field, will be routed down Sixth street and thence around.
