Last Saturday, Lieutenant Paul Langford told listeners that the site for the Ogden Air Depot was chosen in 1935, as a permanent repair and supply depot. He thenquoted Major Clements McMullen's statement regarding the fu ture of the Ogden Air Service Command, which was printed in the Hillf lelder a few weeks ago. This was planned to combat any tendency to think of Hill Field as a temporary, wartime installation. The message of Major General McMullen as read on the air is as follows: " 'Our Blueprint for Vie tory does not contemplate any lessening of activity at the Ogden Air Service Command, even after the collapse of Germany. On the contrary, Ogden will be one of our key installations in the against Japan. Its func tions in supply and maintenance will materially increase. We are counting upon Ogden Air Service Command to carry a heavy burden of work in all lines. It can only do this if it has enough employes. Germany is not yet defeated. We do not know when this defeat will come. But when it does we will turn our full forces upon Japan." This week the KUTA show will describe the work of the Air Tech nical Service Command in the Eu ropean theater of operations. It will tell the story of two Air Serv ice Command officers and two un armed American civilians who rantiirml 550 German troOPS. KUTA station is The 5.000-wa- tt an outlet of the Blue Network and is heard in all parts of Utah ana north in most of southern Idaho and west as far as Elko. Nevada. The KSL Armed Forces Hour has been discontinued for three weeks. It will start again on November 2nd with a program by Reams.
