Hill ssssssssSSBBSSsSSSBBBMM Wednesday, March I, 1944 Raid, Ogdon, Utah HF Open Bowling Tournament Slated for March 19-2- 6 Civilian and Militar Best Will Compete for Cash and Trophies The OASC special service branch and Hill Field's civilian recreation association are combining to stage ll Field open bowlthe first ing tournament for men, March i9 to 26. And with prize money trophies the stimulant, a huge turnout is in the offing. The tournament officials headed speby Maj. Carl S. Menger, chief, Fra-ser, cial service branch, and Bill director of welfare and recreation, and SSgt. Max Kosof, manager of the AAB bowling alleys, are hard at work blueprinting the mammoth tournament which, it is hoped, will bring out all classes and categories of keglers. All entries must be f i 1 e d by March 11 and all bowlers who do not have established averages of 12 games or more or do not. roll In one of the Hill Field alleys will bowl with a tournament-determine- d average of 180. Entry fees are $2.00 for the singles event, $4.00 for each doubles team, and $10.00 for the five man teams. Keglers are restricted to bowling but once in each event and entry fees do not include the cost of bowling. Two substitutions are permitted n team but three ton a bonafide original members must be on hand for each match. In the doubles event, one sub will be acceptable but two names must be Included when the entry is originally filed. Handicaps for all three events will be 75 per cent difference between bowlers' highest league all-Hi- five-ma- .
