Clair Collard who is chairman of the Range management group of the stake farm. This farm has fairly recently been purchased by Juab Stake and consists of 5544 acres; 2112 acres in Ferner Valley and 3432 acres in Dog Valley. The Stake also owns enough water from a privately owned spring to provide livestock water to pastures which will be established on the Ferner Valley ranch as well as the pasture part of Dog Valley. It is planned to use all the wheat allotment on the Dog Valley farm and plant the Ferner Valley land to grass for pasture. Only the better land in Dog Valley will 'be planted to wheat, the remainder will also be planted to pasture. This plan has been developed after detailed soils information was obtained by Soil Conservation technicians assigned to the Juab Soil Conservation District. The State Department has lifted passport restrictions barring Americans from travel in Russia, Romania Communist-dominat- ed These technicians also aided in the development of the plan. This is a long term, ambitious program which development eventually will require a considerable amount of fencing; over a mile of new pipeline as well as the repair of existing lines; numerous livestock watering ponds and troughs; and seeding to grass of about 2500 acres of land, some of which must be cleared of brush before seeding.
