Nephi Students Place Annual Commercial Contests From the B Y U News Bureau PROVO Two hundred commercial students from nine high schools in Central Utah competed in speed and accuracy contests all day Friday on the Brigham Young University campus. The event was sponsored by the Utah High School Activities association, with Reed Jones, principal of Payson high school n charge. Schools competing were Lehi, Lincoln, Provo, Brigham Young high school, Spnngville, bpamsh Fork, Payson and Juab. Juab high school rated AAA in oBokkeeping, and Leslie Hall of Juab rated AA in individuals. In Second Year typewriting, Glade Booth of Juab rated AAA. Ranae Westring of Juab rated AAA in Second ykear shorthand. The Nautilus Literary Club, sponsored by the Delphic Club, was recently organized. Officers elected were: President, Jean Bolton; vice president, Margaret Hill; Secretary and treasurer, Na-diBlackett; assistant secretary and treasurer, Shirley Collard; Reporter, Betty Lou Ostler; Historian, Evelyn Bracken. The Nauthus literary Club met at the home of Colleen Hawkins on Thursday, April 28. President Jean Bolton took charge. Club collect was read by Aria McPherson. Minutes of the previous meeting were read by Shirley Collard. Mrs. Julia Rasmussen showed slides and told about her recent trip to Hawaii. Members enjoying the meeting were Jean Bolton, Aria McPherson, Shirley Collard, Von da Bowles, Barbara Lunt, Margar et Hill, Virginia Jarrett, Evelyn Bracken, Dora Shaw, Beth Sper- ry, Louise Parkin, Vonda Hansen, Betty Lou Ostler and the hostess, Colleen Hawkins.
