He has entered sheep in sales at Vernal, Ogden, Salt Lake. Sp. Fork. Ephraim Utah, and at Grand Junction and Craig, Colorado. At the recent Utah State Suf. folk Show In Nephi, he exhibited the champion ram and reserve champion ewe as well as the first place yearling ram, first place ram lamb, first place ewe lamb and first place pen of three yearling rams to dominate the show. He has his grain formula prepared from local raised grains with a protein concentrate added, and believes that it doesn't pay to breed ewe lambs as they are bet ter mothers and produce larger lambs if they are allowed to grow to fuJJ maturity themselves first. He is quick in stating that a big part of his success comes from the support given him by his family. Mr, Wankier Is the former Theia Buchanan, a native of Blackfoot, Idaho, who came to Levan to teach school and "I never made It away" she happily says. Their children, Norine, Junior and Vickie have all been Interested In purebred Suffolks and have carried projects in and F. F. A. Farrell, active in church and civic affairs, has spent two terms on the Levan City Council, is now vice president of the Levan Irrigation Company and a member of the Juab County Fair board and a member of the Utah State Suffolk Sheep how board. He Is serving as president of the Levan Elders quorum. 2.E3 1 Powder Purse Icicile lamb in February, and usually has a 150 per cent lamb crop. He soils all his ton oualitv rams. keeps his best ewe lamhs for flock replacements, and cullls out the lower end of his herd each year. He believes that good breeding and good feeding combined are the keys to his success. My first ram was purchased trom uregon, and inee then I have purchaed rams from Idaho, Canara and England. At the present time I am using a ram purchased from the University of Idaho, and one from Canada. Up until a few years ago, my sheep lacked the size and scale, but the ram purchased from P. J, Rock and Sons of Canada has given the scale and size to make them more in demand for range use, as well as produce stud rams for purebred flocks." Mr. Wankier has topped six sales in Vernal, SpanLsh Fork, and Craig Colorado the past three years when single rams have sold for price ranging from $300.00 to and 1.50 and 2.53 Cologne Cream Perfume Talcum "ru IM Powder Perfume Body Careful Feeding Program, Scientific Breeding Keys to aucesstul iuttolk Sheep Raising Farrell ago, Twenty years Wankier of Levan took a model A Ford with a trailer and traveled to Blackfoot, Idaho, where he purchased four purebred Suffolk ewes to raise as a hobby.
