A cast of more than 650 will paraicipate next week with a huge four-da- y celebration slated in Provo July in addition to a number of local observances. Two dramatic spectacles "The Christus" and "Behold America" will highlight the Provo celebration with featured performances at 8:30 p. m. each evening in the B Y U stadium. "The Christus", a moving drama on the life of Christ, will be presented on July 1 and 3, and "Behold America" will dramatize the romance of American liberty in performances July 2 and 4. Both productions are directed by Dr. Harold I. Hansen, director of the famed Hill Cumorah pageant in New York and will be staged on special outdoor settings 4, in the two shows. festivities will beThe four-da- y gin with a kiddies' parade In down town Provo at 6 p. m. on July 1 and the opening of a giant amusement carnival and bazaar at Pioneer Park. The carnival and concessions will continue open through the rest of the week. Spec-- 1 ial activities will be held on the afternoon of July 2 and 3 for the kiddies, and a patriotic meeting with a "big name" speaker on the afternoon of July 4. As a traditional climax of the week, the Independence Day parade will be held at 9:30 a. m. on July 4 with scores of sparkling floats and marching units adding color and interest to the event.
