Show Nephi, The Friendly Clta at the Crossroad of Utah BSGdibiit speheing By Volume 43 Our congratulations, on of the people of Nephl, fine choir from the Levan ward which furnished music for the sessions of Quarterly Conference last Sunday. The group, along with the Mona choir which admirably furnished music at a prior conference, proves the theory that no ward is too small to have a good cho'r. Again, we join with the folks of Nephi in extending congratulations to Bishop Mangelson and his choir, and hope that this group' will remain together in the future and add much to ward sacrament meetings. Nothing wears out quite as quickly as a reputation that isn't well taken care of. Speaking of conference . .. . C. Dalgleish, Director of the Division of Dental Health of the Utah State Department of Health was speaker at the Monday noon meeting of the Nephi Kiwanis club. "Flouridation of Commuial Waters" was the title of Dr. Dalgleish's talk. He discussed fluoridation and the conduct of studies which have established it as a safe and indicated procedure for the reduc-atio- n of dental decay, the most universal disease affecting mankind. He discussed the scientific research which provides the basis for its recommended use, end stated that all but five states in the country have one or more cities within their borders which are either fluoridating their water or have announced their intention of doing so. People who have a reputation for making money hand over fist manage to keep their usually hands and fists over it, too. Jim is worried. And it seems from a want ad that he has inserted in this paper that he has four good reasons to be worried. His four reasons are four small ballot receiving boxes. It seems that when he went down stairs in the court house to get them from the storage room, the boxes had strayed away . . . and County Clerk Jim can't remember just who lent the boxes to whom for what. But inasmuch as it is one of the multiple duties of the County Clerk to provide boxes for the ballots to be cast into, James maybe will be developing an art of tinsmithing come about Monday.
