Show Nephi Payson Teams Vieef Title econid-IHIa- lf Dei IPIciyoffff Game Time Set for 3 P. M. Juab County Fair Fairgrounds Nephi and Paysdn will tangle on the load diamond this Sunday afternoon, August 15th at 3:00 in the playoff game to determine the champion of the second half in the Southern Division of the Central Utah League. Nephi won the first half. The local team came from behind to tie the strong Paysonites for the second half title after losing two games early in the schedule. Nephi went on the rampage after losing these two games and built up a winning streak of six straight victories which was climaxed by the Nephi victory over Levan last Sunday afternoon which threw them into the tie with Payson. Payson led the league throughout the second half schedule only to be overtaken by the locals in the last game of the schedule. It was decided during the past week to hold one game only for the second half playoff, and Nephi won the flip of the coin and the game was set for the Nephi field. If Payson should win the second half title, then probe ably a playoff will be held to determine the season's Sundo Sept. 9 Nephi, Juab County, Utah Thursday, August 12, 1948 Volume 39 10 II Number 33 Larae Group Hears Discussioni1 Residents of Flood Damage Convention Here Juab Stake Invited .
