NOTICE Notice is hereby given to all shareholders of the Nephi Irrigation Company: Those desiring any change of ditch In their water for the summer term should notify John C. Hall, water master, not later than May 15. yards Ni'phl City look considerably better since the clean up and paint up campaign which was staged by residents of the city last week Rubbish of all kinds was cleaned up ,lawas neatly cleaned and the to portion from the fence-lintrw sidewalk In practically every home of the city was raked over and the old leaves and accumulation of the winter burned. The Irrigation Company recently completed the cleaning of the ditches of their entire system, which has added greatly to the front appearance. We congratulate the people of Nephi on their fine response to the Mayor's urge to clean up and paint up. Nephi will be a cleaner and more healthy place In which tc live during the summer months from this one week of cleaning activity. The city has been very much posted by small Insects, flies etc., during the past several years, and such a campaign early In the spring tends to destroy their nesting places and thereby cuts down the number that will multiply and bother, spread disease and filth during the hotter months of the summer. There are, throughout the city, several barnyards which have not been completely cleaned up. Such places as these, which would take only a day or so to completely clean, are the harbor for the disease breeding fly. They are the places where not only the contagious diseases begin, but the places where many personal and less contagious diseases get their start. Nephi cannot afford to have these breeding places for disease, it Is much too dangerou. for the residents. Babies In the cradle and every one to the elder residents of our community are taking a big chance on getting a serious disease Just because a few barnyards of the city are neglected. We appeal to the citizens of the city who have not completed the cleaning of their barnyards, please take Saturday off and do so. The large decrease In the number of flies In your own surroundings, those block insects which fight for entrance Into the kitchen and onto your food, will be very much noed. and the saving in trouble and spoiled food resulting from the decrease will pay you many times fold. If you cannot clean up this condition, get some neighbor to do so. Any way possible to clean It up will help to make a cleaner and better place to live, and that is the aim we are all working for. of lbs for Crisp Radishes, and surroundings Homes, STORE BARGAINS -- T" City Conditions Is Improved Following Week of Clean-u- p and Paint up Campaign es CARD OF THANKS We sincerely wish to thank all of our many friends for their kind help and words of sympathy extended to us during our recent bereavement.
