ASK FARM OPINION ON CORN- HOG ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM Signers of corn - hog contracts throughout the state are to be asked to aprove or reject an adjustment program In 1935 according to William Peterson ( director of the ex tension service. The farmers are going to be asked to express their opinion as to what they want to do nxt year on corn hog contracts. This Is their problem and tht; government wants to know how they feel about it. Each one who signs a contract will be ask ed to express his oninlon on certain questions, the chief of which Is. "Do you want an adjustment to continue program on corn-hoin 1935?" Further suggestions to be obtained Included provision for corn acreage control In 1935, utilization of contracted acres for the producton of hay and pasture, and a farm storage plan to encourage producers to put into storage any corn produced In 1935 over actual requirements and to help accomodlate individuals In a financial way who wish to offer their corn as collateral for government loans. Most of the counties of Utah have already received their first payment contracts. A total of on corn-ho- g $61,801.85 has been paid to 19 counties to date. County boards of directors have selected supervisors who will shortly visit all contract signers to check on their compliance with the terms of the contract they signed. 1 pound We 29c cn Buy Beef, Lamb and Pork, Veal, Eggs Levan News (Continued from Page One) were served to Cora Wankier, Mild red Chiistensen. In IN CLOTHES MARX-MAD- E YOU GET THE WORKMANSHIP THAT ARE It would be interesting to know how many Amercians have read the Oontsitution of the United States, the document upon which the republic was built, since they passed out of school. The chances are that far less than ten per cent could honestly say that they have read it. They have seen a few quotations from It in articles and editorials; they know vaguely that Its purpose Is to guarantee liberty and opportunity for all, and to assure stable, repreentatlve government, and that's about all they know. There never was a time when a general study of the Constitution would be so valuable as now. Today it Is being criticized, it is being accused of the crime of antiquity, and those who would change It say it has outlived its usefulness. The result of these attacks on the Constitution are already reflected In legislation and governmental procedure liberties, rights, privileges, for which our ancestors fought and died, are endangered. In other countries, similar constitutional guarantees have been thrown overboard and the final result has been invariably dictatorship. It should be everlastingly kept In mind that the constitution Is the bulwark that stands between us and one "ism" or another. Read the Constitution, paying especial attention to the sections which compose the Bill of Rights. Those sections reflect all that men has striven for through thousands of years of turmoil the widest possible liberty, the right to live? as an Invididual, dominated by none. If the Constitution Is out of date, so is the cause of human freedom.
