If lice are found i. would be well to apply tobacco extract or nicotine sulfate to the center of the perches Just before the birds go to roost at night. Mltcs can be killed by spraying the walls, perches, nests, and dropping boards with some oils or used crankcaso oil mixed with equal parts of kerosene. Coccidlosis and chicken pox are two diseases that often appear in the flock during this period. Since there is no known ding or mixture of drugs that will km the organism, it Is best to keep the coops, runs and equipment clean and dry, and in a sanitary condition to prevent the outbreak of this disease. If it develops it would be well to place the pullets on a 40 per cent milk mash for three or four days and clean out the coops dally. Chicken pox can be readily controlled with little loss by lnnoculating the birds with this disease during the summer or before they start laying. This is commonly called vaccination. The most age to inoculate Is when the pullets are about twelve to sixteen weeks old. At this age, the loss is very slight, unless the birds are seriously handicapped by Internal or exttern&l pamites, Mr. Frischknecht says. coc-cid- ia Mrs. Florence R- Oitlfr and dau-ent- Creams IN POUND JARS er Elaine and Audrey were Oaden visitors for several days last week. 59c Each Mr and Mrs. Charlei McDonald Richfield wpre dinner guests of Mrs. Florene Ostler Saturday. ff Cleansing Cream, Regul ar Cleansing Cream, Liquifying Turtle Oil Cream M!s Rubv Painter of Salt Lake City was visiting at the home of her o?rpnK Mr. and Mrs. Henry wek-enFaiiitf-last r d.
