Holley was fouled shortly after and made the throw good, putting the Nephites but one point to the good. At this point the Springville offensive attack pushed through In a series of passes and gave Senior the ball right under the basket and the big boy caused the Springville fans to wilt like tomato plants in a November frost when he missed the chance and the shot went over. As the timer was almost ready to let fire, Holley dashed over the floor to intercept a long Nephi pass, took a heave and became the hero of the game (as far as Springville was concerned) when the shot was good.
