The judges of the tryouts were: LeRoy Whitehead, Alice Sowby, and Grant Gardner. Work Commenced This Week on Tabernacle Work was commenced this week on the of the Juab Stake Tabernacle. The program includes the rebuilding of the front of the building and the tearing off of the steeple, the stuccoing of the walls, changing of the outside windows, and some inside work. The work is under the supervision of R. H. Evans, and according to Samuel G. Paxman, chairman of the committee, the money donations are coming is very satisfactory and it Is expected that the work will progress rapidly from now on. When completed the Tabernacle will be one of the nicest looking structures along Main Street. Presents Two Shows "The Song of Solomon," and "In the Making," two one act plays were presented last Tuesday eve- ning at the North Ward Amusement Hall under the supervision of the North Ward M. I. A. The characters represented In the "Song of Solomon" were as follows: Solomon Sykes, Alfred J. Gowers; Mary Sykes, his wife, Mrs. Sylvia Peters; Mrs. Smithers, Susie Worwood; Mrs. Bamberger, Mrs. A. E. Smith and Mr. Kerns, the church Minister, Geo. Ostler. The main feature of the play was the lighting which proved to be very effective. The cast for "In the Making" consisted of: Judge Bardell, Jugde of the Juvenile Court, Nephi Chase; Miss King, Case worker, Marjorie Salisbury; Mrs. Truman, mother of Spencer, Lucy Salisbury; Spencer, Milton Boswell; Mrs. SUesky, a Russian lady and mother of Leah, Mrs. Thelma Malloy; and Leah, Emma Jenkins. These completed the series of one act plays which were to be presented by each ward in the M. I. A. during the year.
