Utah, was the principal speaker at the weekly luncheon of the Nephi Klwanls club held last Monday noon. Mr. Nelsons talk was very Interesting and Instructive, and was along the line of "Range Research in the In- termountain Region." He reviewed the work that had been don during the past few years by the forest service department, and also gave the club members a lot of information concerning the vast areas of range lands In the country. Funeral services were held Thurs day at 12.30 p. m. at the South Ward Chapel, with Bishop P. B. Cowan In charge. The first speaker was LeRoy Whitehead, principal of the Nephi Seminary, who was followed by Dennis Wood of the South Ward Bishopric; President A. H. Belliston of the Juab Stake, and the closing remarks by Bishop P. B. Cowan. The musical numbers were: Vocal solo, Clarence H. Warner; Vocal quartet. Mrs. T. D. Davis: Mrs. Ralph Barnes. Clarence H. Warner, and Ralph Barnes, and a vocal solo Mrs. Diane by Mrs. Mabel Lunt. G. Booth was the accompanist. The opening prayer was offered by John E. Lunt, and the closing prayer by G. R. Judd of the Nephi Ward- bishopric. The South Ward Chapel was filled to overflowing, and the floral offerings were beautiful and profuse. The grave in the Vine Bluff pemetery was ,dedicate4.by ame$ E. Memmott of the Nephi South Ward Bishopric. Surviving the deceased are: his mother, Mrs. Mary E. Burton, his wife, Mrs. Camille Burton, three children, Ilene 10, Delia V. 7. and Glen 1; six brothers: William, John. Louis, Alvin, Leonard and Spencer Burton; and three sisters, Mrs. A. V. Hague, Mrs. O. E, Sparks, and Mrs. Rex Hyde. He was born September 5, 1897, and was married to Camille Miller on October 8, 1919. Western Juab Road May Be Improved; Will Estimate Cost At the request of land owners, mining and sheep men holding properties In the western part of Juab County, the Board of County Commissioners, who were In regular session last Friday, have requested county surveyor Arthur A. Miller to make an estimate of the cost of running a survey between Cherry Creek and Callao. LOUIS Nephi Young Men In Auto Accident In Harry Sperry, Douglas Cowan and Sidney Smith, sustained cuts and bruised and were knocked uncon scious, when the car In which they were riding left the road and plung ed down a steep embankment In Spanish Fork canyon last Thursday. They were returning to Nephi from Colton. Utah. The boys were taken to the Spanish Fork hospital, where they received first aid and were later brought to Nephi. Mecham Boy Hit By Auto - FOR GARRETT Deputy Sheriff of Juab County For Past Four Years and Member of Irrigation Board 18 Yrs. Funeral services were held Mon day afternoon at the Juab Stake Tabernacle over the mortal remains of Louis Garrett, a native of Nephi, who died last Thursday following a year's illness, during which time ha underwent a great deal of suffering. The services were In charge of Bishop Albert E. 8mith of the Nephi North ward, and the opening prayer was offered by A. J, Oowers. The speakers were: John E. Lunt. W. C. Andrews, President Albert H. Belliston, James H. Ockey and the closing remarks by Bishop A. E. Smith. The closing prayer was of fered by Charles H. Grace. The flowers, were beautiful.
