Mumford 21 years of age whose home is at Urbana, Illinois, was found Saturday morning some distance from where his horse threw him into Chicken Creek Friday night. His neck was broken. Mr. Mumford was employed by the Forest Service at the time of his death. He was riding along on the trail along Chicken 'Creek when his horse evidently slipped and threw The him into the stream below. horse returned to camp and a search was made with the result as stated above. The body was brought to this city under the direction of Sheriff Christison, prepared for shipment by undertaker J. R. Downs, and sent oast on Sunday afternoon's train. wedding of local interest took place Monday afternoon when Miss Ludean Lunt was joined in marriage to Mr. Robert H. Fark. The ceremony was performed by Bishop P. B. Cowan, at the home of the bride's parents Mr. and Mrs. J. II. Lunt. Both parties are popular young people of this city and have a large circle of friends here. For the past two years Mr. and Mrs. Park have been teachers at the Central School, but early this spring Mr. Park accepted a position with the Forest Serat Lone vice, with headquarters Tree, Wyoming. Immediately after (he wedding they left for the above place where they will reside for some time. This paper joins with their many friends here in extending hearty congratulations. A Impressive Funeral Services Hed at North Ward Chapel Many Expressions of Sympathy For Family. On of the sad deaths that have occurred iu our community this week xi3 that of Mrs. Edith Call, who passed away Monday afternoon of acute peritonitis. Mrs. Call is the eldest daughter of Jilr. Willard Garrett, and was born in this city June 6tli, 1904, being only 21 years of age at the time of her death. She was married to Mr. Venus Call, in December, 1923 and is survived by her husband and two children, a boy 18 months old and a eleven days old baby girl. Also her father, two sisters, May and Fern, and one brother Phil Gar- MRS. THOMAS BOOTH The sympathy of the people of this city is extended to the family in their great bereavement and sorrow which has come to them. Very impressive services were held at the North Ward Chapel Wednesday morning, Bishop C. H. Grace, being in charge. The opening prayer was offered by James Garrett Jr. The speakers' were: J. E. Lunt, Dr. P. H. Beckstead, Judge T. H. Burton, and closing remarks by Bis hop Grace. Each speaker spoke words of sympathy to the members of the family and paid tribute to the life of the deceased. Music was furnished by Mrs. Vivian Hoyt, who rendered the solo, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," instrumental selection "Come Dry Those Tears," Goldsbrough Sisters; and a vocal solo by Mrs. T. W. All-re"I'll Go Where You Want Me To Go." Benediction by Wilford J. Cole. The flowers were beautiful and profuse. Interment was in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, the grave being dedicated by Bishop Grace. Chase, Mr. and tMrs. Leon Garrett, Mrs. Sagers of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Garrett, of Lehi, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Carter of Ephraim, Utah; and Mr. Willard Pixton of Tylorsville. d, LEVAN BOYS MEET WITH ACCIDENT Foster Gardner, fourteen year old son of Richard H. Gardner, president of Levan Town Board, and Orin Morgan aged twelve, were riding a horse down to the swimming hole late Sunday afternoon, when the horse fell in crossing a ditch, throw ing the Gardner boy about six feet to one side of the road, and pinning the other boy In the ditch under the horse. They were found some time later, the Gardner boy remaining un conscious for some time, but no ser ious injuries were suffered by either of them. There was no 4th of July oelebrat ion held here on account of the whooping cough. The health board has Mopped all public gatherings of children to prevent the spread of the disease. The plaster mill is being repaired and work will commence in the near future. A complete crew will be em ployed and a steady run is expected H. D. Ballow will be in charge of operations. The deceased was born in this city 65 years ago and has lived here all her life. She is survived by the following children, her husband having died several years ago: Mrs. W. L. Patrick, Mar cus Bootn or Salt Lake City; Mrs. ,W. Cleverly of Bountiful; Frank Booth of Stanford, Arizona; Aletha, Jessie and Ruth Booth of Los Ang eles; Gleu Booth and Mrs. Edilh Smith of this city. She is survived by one brother and four sisters. These are: James Jarrett, Mrs. John Ockey and .Mrs. D. M. Park of this city, Mrs. Lottie Elmer of Arizona, and Mrs. Hattie McCall of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Booth was always a faithful member of the L. D. S. Church, and an earnest worker in the Relief Society. of the ward in which she reside ed - She is known for her kindly deeds especially during times of sick ness. Funeral services were held Wed nesday afternoon from the Tabernacle, Bishop P. B. Cowan, being in charge. Prayer was offered by Charles Jenkins. The speakers were: I. H. Grace, Mrs. E. R. Forrest. J.' M. Christen- sen and President A. H. Belliston. Each speaker dwelt upon the life of the departed and paid tribute to her worth as a wife and mother. Music was furnished by L. P. And erson, who rendered the solo. "The Morning Breaks The Shadows Flee." vocal solo, Clarence Warner, "I'll Go W'here You Want Me To Go," and Oh, My Father" by the Cole Sisters. Benediction by Wralter Olpin. Many beautiful flowers covered the casket and were banked around the stand. The body was interred in the Vine Bluff Cemetery, the crave P. B. being dedicated by Bishop Cowan. The Nephi ball tossers lost the league game Wednesday to Heber City by the score of 10 to 7 in favor of the Wasatch county boys.
