H. Burton received a majority ot the votes cast and was declared the nominee of the Republican party in this district for the election to be held on Nov. 4th. G. Hunter Lunt of Cedar City, Utah, was nominated for Disirict Attorney by the same party on the first ballot. The convention was full of fireworks trom the opening to the close, the first three ballots being a tie vote for the judgeship. On the fourth ballot Iron County changed its vote which assured the nomination of Judge Burton. FAMILY REUNION HELD WEDNESDAY The second annual reunion of the family of the late Bishop W. H. Warner was held Wednesday August 2Uth this being the 96th aniversary of his birth. The festivities took place iu the North Ward Amusement Hall, over 200 people being served a sumptious banquet. A program followed at which Warner Stepnen-so- n acted as master ot ceremonies. The address of welcome was given by R. C. Stephenson. Prayer by L. A. Bailey Sr., piano solo by Florence Stephenson of Salt Lake City; talk by J. W. Paxman; vocal solo by Clarence Warner; toast by Mrs. Amy Warner; talk by President A. H. Belliston; duet by Mrs. Lula Steph enson and Joseph Worthington; talk by L. A. Builey Sr.; music by the Boys Band; and a vocal solo by Mrs. Neilson of Honolulu. A dance followed to which a large number of invited guests were present. A program was also given during the dance and refreshments served. Last night 84 members of the family continued the reunion with a jolly canyon party to Jenkins Flat, where another fine luncheon wag served. Among the out ot town relatives who attended were Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Warner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Warner of Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stephenson and family, and Mrs. Bert Olpin of Salt Lake City, also a large number of relatives from Moroni and Delta. The B. In June, 1922, she was married to Walter Francom, to which union two children were born, the eldest eighteen months old, and the youngest only a month. She was a kind and devoted mother. and in her death we lost a most in dustrious and lovable young woman. Mrs. Francom passed away in a Salt Lake Hospital and was brought here Tuesday for burial. Practically all the people in town went to the train to meet the family. Funeral services were held Wednesday from the ward meeting house.
