The citziens of Mona on the contrary feel that they art doing as little possible. We note that most of the high scho( 1 boards of the state are taking great interest in providing ways for the students of the smaller towns to get to school, either by wagon, autos, or by train. We dislike very much to be- come "knockers" yet, we are to pay taxes to maintain the higl schco', we therefore feel that we ought to at least have enough in terest in the school to ask that all student desirious of getting a high shcool education have that privilege. It seems to us that the present mileag system is unjust to the Mona students. The few that are going are planning to stay in hephi, and more than likely the Levan students will do the same. But the Levan students are given 40c more per week to pay for board br rooms. The people of Nephi will ask as much for board from a Mona student as they will from a Levan student. In view of this fact it hardly seems just that any difference be " ' made. The Mona Primary association had ward conference Sunday afternoon in the meeting house, a very good program was carried out, representing the work being done in the regular weekly meetings, Mrs Ord the first councelor in the Primary stake presidency, Mrs. Lunt the staKe treasurer were present They expressed themselves as being well pleased at the work being done in the primary. They encouraged the parents to see to it that they visited the primary occasionally as it gave encouragement to the children and teachers alike.
